  1. Loved the interviews! But how come Cangemi did not make an effort to communicate in English as Lehtipuu and Antonini did? I don't want to sound chauvinistic, and I am not suggesting that Spanish is not a lovely language--in fact, it is--but to reach international audiences.... (I have watched Sara Mingado's interview. Her English is very limited, but at least she tried.)

  2. I think you'll find that it's Italian that Veronica Cangemi is speaking.

  3. Roberta Invernizzi should have been Caio and Sandrine Piau should have been Cleonilla... Cangemi is horrendous why do you insist with her so much?? it´s a shame! she already ruined la fida ninfa and griselda, stop hiring that ugly cat!

  5. I agree with Anonymous, Mrs. Cangemi is creepy, I hope Naïve comes to its senses and record more with Invernizzi, Piau and Milanesi, they are wonderful sopranos

  6. Roberta Invernizzi is the best baroque soprano, she should have sung Caio!
I invite all her fans to sing this online petiton requesting the recording a Handel-Vivaldi album

I hope Naïve took interest in this project, lesser singers have their solo albums, so wake up Naïve!

  8. Invernizzi's fans are not doing her any favor by attacking Cangemi. There is plenty room for different sopranos in Baroque operas. Acting aggressive on behalf of any singers only makes them look suspicious.

  9. I was skeptical about the casting of Julia Lezhneva because she seemed so wooden and detached when singing, in my humble opinion. However, it looks here like she is going to be better suited to Baroque. She is young yet so there is plenty of time to grow. Interestingly, she has received the best reviews out of all of the cast. In any case, I do like all of the other singers in this cast as well and Giovanni Antonini rocks!
NAIVE CLASSICS: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUT THIS OUT ON DVD ALSO!!!

  11. To the first "anonymous" : Cangemi speaks Italian. Did you notice that this opera is in italian, not in english ? Stop believing that english is necessary anywhere ...
